Angus MacArthur 2ad723e1c1 fixed broken gitlab version determination during backup 
If the backup directory is not sub the gitlab install directory,
then the git rev-parse call will fail.

axilleas 7305d98c8e Added check_redis_version. Fixes #3449 
Checking the redis version will warn users that
are using an old version to update. Included
reference to the troubleshooting guide.
