Google地图可以分为两类，当你使用地图选项时，查找的地点是以地图形式出现的。

例如你想查找河北省邯郸市第一中学，只需在搜索栏中输入“河北省邯郸市第一中学”那么邯郸第一中学 的俯视图就会出现。

这是因为Google将该实物的卫星俯视图拍摄了下来。

|
||
谷歌地图（[Google Maps](http://baike.baidu.com/view/271894.htm)）是 Google 公司提供的电子地图服务，包括局部详细的卫星照片。能提供三种视图：一是矢量地图（传统地图），可提供政区和交通以及商业信息；二是不同分辨率的卫星照片（俯视图，跟 Google Earth 上的卫星照片基本一样）；三是地形视图，可以用以显示地形和等高线。它的姊妹产品是[Google Earth](http://baike.baidu.com/view/18437.htm)。
